Mark Evanier (born March 2, 1952 in Santa Monica, California) is an American writer.
Evanier chose to become a writer fallowing witnessing the misery his father felt from either working for the Internal Revenue Service and contrasting that with the portrayal of a writer's life on The Dick Van Dyke Show.
He mass produced his number one broker low within 1969 and almost immediately when that was taken in as an help to the legendary Jack Kirby. When apprenticing under Kirby, Evanier began writing foreign comic books for The Walt Disney Company. From either there he was brought around to write stories for the Western Disney Comics, Gold Key Comics, and comedian for the Edgar Rice Burroughs estate.
Around 1974 he teamed with writer Dennis Palumbo, since young comedy writers tended to are around pairs, & wrote for the total of television series including The Nancy Walker Show, The McLean Stevenson Show, and Welcome Back, Kotter.
Fallowing a cancellation of Kotter, in which he was one of a story editors, Evanier & Palumbo amicably ended their partnership. Evanier later on wrote for the Hanna-Barbera comic book division, the total of variety & specials, & began writing for animated cartoon shows including: Scooby Doo, Plastic Man, Thundarr the Barbarian, The ABC Weekend Special, Richie Rich, The Wuzzles, Dungeons & Dragons and Garfield and Friends.
He has too produced the total of comedian books including Blackhawk, Crossfire and Hollywood Superstars (with Dan Spiegle) and Groo the Wanderer (with Sergio Aragonés).
He has been nominated for the Emmy Awards numerous days for his writing, however has eventually to receive 1.
